About Us

My name is David Hirko and I am the owner of Hirko's Tree Service LLC.  I got interested in tree work when I took down my first tree at the age of 17 (definitely don't try this at home kids). My dad had always wanted to take this huge pine tree down in the front of our house but never seemed to get around to it.  One day while my dad was in the hospital I decided to do something really nice for him. I took this 100 foot pine tree down only 10 feet from the house in perfect fashion. Looking back, probably not the best idea for a 17 year old but it all ended well and it sparked a life long interest for me. Don't worry; I am so much more knowledgeable since that fateful day.

I then went into the Army where I became a land surveyor.  Back to life as a civilian, I owned my own land surveying company and also ran logging crews that cleared lots for lumber. This is where I developed a tremendous amount of experience over the years.

In 1995 I opened Hirko's Tree Service and never looked back. I started with a pick up truck and a chainsaw and slowly but surely built a thriving business.  The secret to my success has always been integrity. By offering fair prices and treating customers with honesty they will refer me to other customers and will come back to us again and again. Repeat customers are the backbone of our business and that only comes with treating our customers right the first time.
